This Website is build an open, communal SQL Database. All user data (blog articles, Flight-reports, Experiences,...) even data published publicly is considered as personal and will not be shared or exploited without explicit accord. The ultimate goal of this database is to make it easier for sky lovers to access, share and consume data about our shared passion: The Sky.
You are welcome to help improve this database. To do this, register/sign in and ask for the "Database_Editor" role.
The public tables of the database can be read as JSON, without an account: GET /api/{Entities}
(for example /api/Aircrafts). Every field of the entity can be used as a filter
(?Name=A320), and orderfield / orderascending sort the result.
The API is read-only. To add or correct data, sign in and use the Database pages (one row at a time, or many at once with the Excel export and import), with the "Database Editor" role.
We are building models upon the Database's Data using machine learning algorithms. We mainly user Azure Machine Learning and marginally R and Pyhton. As the database becomes more established and recognised we plan to make them available as Web-Services. If you are interested, please get in touch (Contact).
Here are some highlight visualisation of the Database's data.
