Description

The site flies best, is the safest and most fun when the wind blows straight from the south. The site has a lot of cliffs, ridges and chasms. Look-out for those traps and keep the wind direction relatives to these geometrical accidents in mind when flying around.

The site is basically a big rock: thermals can get really strong in summer after 11AM. Best flown all day during the winter.

Access

Drive up to the Chapelle Saint Cyr (also called San Chirgu), were there is a large parking. From there take the path to the takeoff (around 25 minutes).

Airpace Specificities

The Mt Gozzi site is really close from the Ajaccio Airport and from the airways leading to its runway. The CTR zone that starts just south of the site (right at the landing field of Piscia Rossa).
